There’s plenty of variety, with various games and franchises exploring different avenues from realistic rally racing to urban open-world arcade racing. But I agree I think ABK is holding up the next phase and is partially responsible for what seems to be a stagnation.Racing games have become increasingly common in the past decade, which is great for car enthusiasts and gamers. A native app on MacOS and every major smart TV at a minimum should be a given. Right now Sony seems all in on remote play vs actual streaming. Streaming as you said is difficult but on its own I think the two kinda will compare better in the future. Why put it on the service when you can sell 10 million copies at $70? If Xbox first party moves software like that, they never would’ve out all titles day one on Game pass. Nothing new sure, but it’s a comparable start. Obviously the backwards compatibility isn’t something they can match. With the sub service I’d say they’ve matched Game pass decently with Premium. I think it’s a cool feature that increases the shelf life of older titles particularly ones with only local co-op. Providing streaming or sub service doesn't mean they've adequately matched what Xbox are doing. XCloud works so well in my home, I use it alot. It's as if MS have reluctantly accepted they shouldn't invest in game streaming at this time, which to me is infuriating. So MS as a company cannot advance cloud as much as they'd like to as it could mean huge payout in breakup fees and prevent them from making future acquisitions. Apparently MS are in command of 60% of streaming market according to them. If MS improve Xcloud and therefore attract more users, regs like CMA can use that to say they're too far ahead and should not be allowed to fortify their position in cloud market.
